Monopoly Live by Evolution: 54 Segments, Odds and Bonus Rolls

MONOPOLY Live is Evolution's live game show, on air since 15 February 2019. A presenter spins a wheel of 54 equal segments: 48 carry the numbers 1, 2, 5 and 10, two are CHANCE, three are 2 ROLLS and one is 4 ROLLS.

The wheel

The 54-segment wheel: what is actually on it

Look closely at the wheel behind the presenter and the game explains itself. Fifty-four segments of equal width sit around a brass rim, and every one of them belongs to one of seven outcomes. Forty-eight carry a number: 1, 2, 5 or 10. That number is both the name of the bet and the payout — back 5, watch the pointer settle on 5, and the stake returns at 5:1. The numbers are not spread evenly. The 1 is the most common face on the wheel and the 10 the rarest of the four, which is exactly why they pay so differently: 1:1 at one end of the scale and 10:1 at the other.

The remaining six segments are where the show lives. Two CHANCE segments hand out either a cash prize or a multiplier. Three 2 ROLLS segments and a single 4 ROLLS segment open the bonus: everyone who backed that segment leaves the studio and follows Mr. Monopoly onto a 3D board for at least two or four dice rolls. Because the 4 ROLLS segment appears once, it is the hardest outcome on the wheel to hit, and it also promises the longest walk.

Nothing about this layout changes between rounds. The presenter cannot add a segment, the operator cannot remove one, and no streak makes a rare segment more likely. The table is the whole wheel, counted.

Payouts & RTP

Payouts and RTP: why 1 and 10 are not the same bet

A 1 and a 10 look like the same kind of bet: pick a number, wait for the wheel. Mathematically they are different products. The 1 covers 22 of 54 segments, so it lands on roughly four spins in ten, but it only ever pays 1:1 plus any multiplier in play. The 10 covers four segments, lands on fewer than one spin in thirteen, and pays 10:1 when it does. Frequency and payout pull in opposite directions, and the house edge between them differs by segment.

That is why MONOPOLY Live has no single RTP: the figure depends on which segment you back. Evolution publishes a return for each bet, and across the seven positions the figures run from 91.3% to 96.23%. The 2 sits at the top of that band at 96.23%, the 10 is close behind at 96.02%, while the 5 is the weakest number at 91.3%. The two roll bets sit in the low nineties, which reflects a bonus that pays often in small amounts and rarely in large ones.

Two ceilings apply to everything on the wheel. A single round cannot pay a player more than £500,000, and no combination of top-slot, CHANCE and bonus multipliers can exceed 10,000x. Use the selector below to see the published figures for the bet you have in mind.

Broadcast rundown

How a round runs: betting window, spin, top-slot

Every round follows the same broadcast rundown. The betting window opens for around fifteen seconds. In that time you place chips on any of the seven positions: 1, 2, 5, 10, CHANCE, 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS, in any combination, at whatever stake the table permits.

Before the wheel moves, the top-slot spins. It is a two-reel unit above the wheel: the left reel shows one bet position, the right reel a multiplier. If the reels line up horizontally, that multiplier applies to that position for this spin; otherwise the round runs at standard odds.

The presenter then pulls the wheel. It slows, the pointer settles into a segment, and the result is paid instantly, inside the £500,000 round cap. A number pays at its face value, boosted by any top-slot multiplier sitting on it. CHANCE stops the round for a card draw, 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS sends everyone who backed it onto the 3D board with Mr. Monopoly, and other bets settle while the walk plays out. Then the window opens again.

CHANCE card with a 10x multiplier
CHANCE

CHANCE: cash prize or a multiplier you carry forward

Two of the 54 segments are labelled CHANCE, and stopping on either one hands Mr. Monopoly a card. That card does one of two things. The first outcome is a cash prize: a fixed multiplier of your CHANCE stake, paid on the spot, and the round ends. The second outcome is a multiplier that does not pay yet. Instead your CHANCE stake stays on the table, the wheel spins again, and whatever comes next is multiplied by the card.

The carried multiplier is what makes CHANCE worth watching. If the re-spin lands on a number, your stake pays at that number's odds times the card. If it lands on CHANCE again, a second card can stack on the first. If it lands on 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS, the multiplier follows you onto the board and lifts every square you collect. Only one thing never changes: the £500,000 round cap and the 10,000x ceiling apply to a multiplied CHANCE exactly as they apply to a plain number. Two segments of 54 means the card appears on roughly one spin in 27.

Live lobby

Where to play MONOPOLY Live live

A MONOPOLY Live casino is any operator that carries Evolution's live studio feed. The table you see is the same one everywhere: one studio, one wheel, one presenter, streamed to every lobby at once. What differs between operators is the frame around it: table limits, the lobby layout, which other game shows sit alongside it, and the promotions attached to live play.

Our featured operator lists MONOPOLY Live inside a Game Shows section next to titles from Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, Playtech, Ezugi, OnAir Entertainment and Authentic Gaming. Current bonus terms are shown on the operator's promotions page. Live game shows usually contribute less than slots towards any wagering requirement, and a minimum deposit typically applies, so read that page before you rely on a bonus at the wheel.

Table limits are the other thing to check first. The minimum chip is small, but the operator sets the maximum per position, and that caps what a 10:1 or a multiplied CHANCE can return.

FAQ

MONOPOLY Live: questions players ask

What is the RTP of MONOPOLY Live?

There is no single figure: RTP depends on the segment you back and sits between 91.3% and 96.23%. The number bets and the roll bets carry different edges, so the bet you choose changes your expected return. The 2 leads at 96.23%, the 10 follows at 96.02%, and the 5 sits at the bottom at 91.3%.

How many segments are on the wheel?

Fifty-four equal segments: 48 numbers (1, 2, 5, 10), two CHANCE, three 2 ROLLS and one 4 ROLLS. Among the numbers, the 1 appears 22 times, the 2 fifteen times, the 5 seven times and the 10 four times, so the 1 lands on about four spins in ten and the 10 on fewer than one in thirteen.

Is there a maximum payout?

Yes. A round is capped at £500,000, with a multiplier ceiling of 10,000x. The cap applies to the bonus round as well. Operators also set their own maximum stake per position, so the practical ceiling at a table is usually lower than the specification allows.

Is MONOPOLY Live the same as MONOPOLY Big Baller?

No. Big Baller is a separate Evolution show built on bingo-style ball draws. MONOPOLY Live is a money wheel with a dice-roll bonus. The two share the licence, mascot and studio style, but not the rules, odds or RTP figures, so nothing here applies to Big Baller.

Before you sit down at the wheel

MONOPOLY Live rewards players who understand the wheel before they bet on it. Fifty-four segments, four numbers, two CHANCE cards and four roll segments explain every result you will ever see, and the RTP band from 91.3% to 96.23% tells you which bets are cheaper to hold over time. Treat the show as entertainment with a price, set a budget before the betting window opens, and stop when it is spent. Play is for adults aged 18 and over. If gambling stops being fun, free confidential support is available at BeGambleAware.org.
